Q: What distinguishes you from brokers and other car-buying services?
A: Typically, brokers (agents) and car-buying services are paid a predetermined fee from the dealer, when the sale is complete. When you enter into the relationship mentioned above – you need to ask yourself one critical question, who has my best interest at heart? My Vehicle Partner is not a broker, and we’ll never accept any compensation from a dealer! In our opinion, at the point when we receive payment from a vehicle dealer, we lose our objectivity and integrity. We represent YOU and your best interest – period.
Q: How sure are you that My Vehicle Partner can get a better deal than I can get on my own?
A: This is the most important and most often asked question that we receive. We know that the average price for a vehicle is $35,000 and understand the importance of making such a significant purchase. The MVP group are professionals with backgrounds in automotive, finance, business, research and negotiating. We love what we do and take pride in in our work every day. We never take for granted the trust our client’s place in us — we’ll work tirelessly to deliver on each and every opportunity. Referrals are the lifeline of our business, and we’ll do whatever is humanly possible, to ensure an exceptional client experience.
It’s very important to understand that an attractive sale price alone, doesn’t constitute a good deal. There are numerous terms and conditions that ultimately decide whether your deal is good or not. Dealerships are in the business of maximizing their profits, and we’re in the business of maximizing your savings. Still skeptical – read below about our Beat My Dealer Pricing. If we can’t save you money – you pay absolutely nothing!
Q: Do I need My Vehicle Partner if I have Sam’s Club, BJ’s, Costco or AAA vehicle buying service?
A: In some instances, you may be better off with this type of service than walking into a dealership without the club affiliation. However, the aforementioned services have pre-arranged pricing, which is typically a certain percentage above invoice.
“Did someone mention invoice – dealer invoice is a misnomer?” Do you really believe the TV and print advertisements where a dealership will sell you a car at $1.00 over invoice? How in the world can a dealership survive on a $1.00 profit from each car sold? The answer’s simple – they can’t and invoice isn’t what the dealership pays for the vehicle. Manufacturer to dealer rebates, bonuses and dealer holdback are just a few other ways dealers are compensated (before you even arrive at the finance office). Once again – price alone doesn’t constitute a good deal. There are terms and conditions, notwithstanding a possible trade or an early terminated lease that must be negotiated.
The art of negotiating isn’t raising your voice with demands and pounding your fists on a desk. Remember – dealerships want to sell you a vehicle, but they don’t have to. The art of negotiating is having a dealership agree to a deal, that they normally would walk away from.
Q: So how does My Vehicle Partner make money?
A: We truly love and believe in the service that we provide. For far too long, the consumer has been placed at a disadvantage with regard to purchasing or leasing a vehicle. We understand and know how to win at the auto dealership. However, we don’t do this for altruistic reasons alone. This isn’t a hobby – it’s our business and we have the (2) pricing models below.
Full-Service – a My Vehicle Partner professional will:
- Provide consultation on the selection and terms of your next vehicle
- Set all appointments with you and the dealership
- Search and locate your desired vehicle – any manufacturer
- Negotiate the most competitive price and terms on your behalf
- Represent YOU – MVP never accepts any compensation from a dealership
- Save you time and money
The above fee is based on the MSRP of the vehicle and in most cases, it’s negligible to the amount we’ll save you. Please ask your MVP representative for details.
Beat My Dealer Pricing:
For this arrangement, a client has already defined and located their desired vehicle. Additionally, the client has obtained a valid offer from a dealership. MVP will perform all of the above and assuming we save you money, MVP will split the savings (up to $1,500 maximum).
Q: Why are you so passionate about this industry and your service?
A: There are very few products and services that are sold in this manner and with so many variables. To that point, how many times have you purchased a car and that very same evening, wondered if you got a good deal? Unless you know where all of the potential “landmines” are – there’s a high likelihood that you didn’t do as well as you could have. So, why chance it? Why go it alone? Consider partnering with a professional!
